Stanchions support multi-element nets for the uni-directional arrestment of both non-hook and hook-equipped aircraft, as either permanent or expeditionary installations on fixed-base runways.
- Type 5 (Pneumatically-actuated)
The Type 5 features a rapid net erection time of 1 second. The stanchion can be arranged in a flush-mount installation configuration and can be locked in at the lowered position. It is available in both permanent and expeditionary configurations.
- 61QSIIM (Hydraulically-actuated)
The electro-hydraulically-operated 61QSIIM Stanchion is the USAF standard stanchion as part of the BAK-15 system, designed for permanent installation.
- Mk6 (Electrically/mechanically actuated)
The Mk6 Stanchion is raised via electrical power in approximately 3 seconds, with a manual lock in place in the "UP" position.

>> Multi-elements Nets (MEN)
MEN Nets are comprised of a number of individual nylon sub-nets which are assembled together to form a complete multi-element net, consisting of an upper horizontal strap and two lower horizontal straps. This provides the net with the unique ability to automatically adjust to different aircraft geometry and to equalize arrestment loads over the aircraft structure during an aircraft engagement.
